To All Adorers and Parishioners, There has been a change to Adoration restart. Our start date will be June 1 as planned. Since Holy Mass restart coincides with the restart of Adoration, we’ve decided to celebrate Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the main Sanctuary. This will permit ample social distancing for all those planning to restart Adoration at this time. The scheduled time for the start of Adoration will change as well. Adoration will now start, Monday through Friday, right after morning Mass at 9:00 am. The Blessed Sacrament will be reposed at 7:00 pm daily. Church doors are unlocked from 7 am to 6 pm, M-F. We continue to recommend the use of masks in the Sanctuary Area. We urge you to keep your hands clean and away from your facial area. Those Adorers with respiratory symptoms should stay home until symptoms are gone. As the pandemic subsides, we will evaluate expanding our Adoration hours and moving Adoration back to our Chapel. Thanks for your understanding and support. God bless, Bruce We plan to restart Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Monday Morning June 1, 2020 at 7:00 AM. At the start, our Adoration schedule will be Monday through Friday only, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. We’ll evaluate how this goes with the goal of getting back to our 24x7 Perpetual Adoration schedule. To start, I am asking those current Adorers with committed hours Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM to resume their regular hours. Until morning Mass restarts, we’ll need to find volunteers for the 8 AM-9 AM hour. Please note, Adorers who are uncomfortable with restart at this time should not feel compelled to do so. We will find a SUB for you if need be. Just call me and let me know this is the case. Please note as well that all Adorers are welcome to participate in our M-F 12 hour Adoration schedule subject to the guidelines below: We will post the CDC Guidelines for COVID-19 Safety at the Chapel Entrance and at the Adorer Desk. The Chapel entrance door will be unlocked for the duration of our current schedule. The Sign-in Log will be on the desk but the sign-in requirement is waived. When there is more than one scheduled Adorer in the Chapel, the Adorers will remain on either side keeping the recommended social distance. Unscheduled Adorers or “Walk-ins” as we sometimes call them will be expected to remain outside the Chapel proper maintaining the appropriate social distance. The chairs will be arranged so this happens without thought. The use of Surgical Type Masks and Gloves are strongly recommended for all Adorers but not required. I would say though, out of respect for concerns of fellow Adorers, that Masks be worn in the Chapel area. Two large bottles of hand sanitizer will be positioned on the Adorer’s Desk. Adorers are encouraged to use hand sanitizer on the way in/out of the Chapel. The restrooms in the Gathering Area and Sacristy are available for handwashing. As always, Adorers with respiratory symptoms of any kind should stay home and arrange for a SUB. At least until we get back to our regular 24x7 schedule, we plan to use our special Monstrance cover to repose the Blessed Sacrament. This means the 6 PM Adorer(s) will cover the Monstrance for the night at 7 PM and the 7 AM Adorer(s) will uncover/expose the Blessed Sacrament in the morning. Folks, we have an opportunity to get back doing something we love, i.e., worshiping the Real Presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. I know Jesus will be watching over us as we resume our commitment to Him. Let’s be generous with our respect and concern for one another as we move to reestablish our Perpetual Commitment to Jesus.
