Sacred Heart Parish has proudly been an integral part of the Family Promise of Moore County Program for many years. 
 
 Family Promise of Moore County, located at 400 Saunders Boulevard, Aberdeen, is a nonprofit agency dedicated to alleviating homelessness in Moore County, North Carolina.  Assistance is provided in partnership with local church congregations and organizations, a Board of Trustees and staff. They are a 16-bed homeless shelter providing services to women and their families.
 
 Sacred Heart supports the program with funds and with VOLUNTEERS.  Our Parish will be hosting once again from MAY 19- MAY 22.  We hope that you will be able to assist us on one of these dates as: 
 (1) Over Night Guests - This is easy.   Arrive at 8:00 PM.  You have a private bedroom and bath.  All adults must be in bed before 10:00. Children are in bed earlier. You make sure the doors are locked. You set the alarm code at 10:00. You have restful sleep. You release the alarm code at 6:00 AM and go home.
 (2) Meal Preparers: Bring a meal for the families before 5:00 p.m. on your scheduled day;
 (3) Money donors: needed for purchasing breakfast and lunch foods and for other necessary household expenses and transitioning supplies for those to their own new housing. Please make checks payable to Sacred Heart and mail to Louise Kennedy, 11 Kilbride Drive, Pinehurst, NC 28374.

Due to the generosity of many of our parishioners, we have helped Family Promise    
defray the cost of many household needs. We have provided overnight volunteers and dinners during our host week.  With your help. we have been able to defray costs for needed supplies and repairs to the facility.  We have also provided furniture for families transitioning from the shelter into their own apartments. All are very appreciative and thankful to Sacred Heart parishioners for our prayers, volunteers, and donors.
