You may recall Embers; Adult Faith Formation Planning Group conducted a survey in January. The purpose of the Survey was to ask Parishioners their preferences and needs to increase Faith Formation activities in the Parish. Click on the logo to see the results.

EMBERS (Adult Faith Planning Group) would like to prepare a short video showing the artistic and historical elements of our beautiful Church. To do so, we are recruiting a disciple to help with this project. The leader, Gregg Brock, estimates this will take about 4-5 hours. The disciple should have some skill in either videotaping (using a phone) or photographing. For example, the project would focus on our beautiful stained-glass windows etc. The finished project would be on the web to introduce our Church to the community and persons inquiring about our Church. If you are called to assist, please contact: Gregg Brock, gregg.a.brock@gmail.com or Tele: 843-475-5098.
We THANK YOU all 207 respondents to the Adult Faith Formation Survey. Your responses inform us in providing Parish initiatives for deepening your Faith which are keenly suited to nurture disciples for Christ. Look for survey results posted in upcoming bulletins or on our Sacred Heart website. from the EMBERS, AFF steering group
FAITH FORMATION IS CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF PARENT/STUDENT EVALUATION OF THE PROGRAM. AN EVALUATION HAS BEEN SENT VIA REALM TO ALL PARENTS. IF FOR SOME REASON, YOU DID NOT RECEIVE ONE, PLEASE CONTACT the Faith Formation Office. It will be most appreciated if all parents/guardians complete the evaluation. We want to use it to make the program better suited to your needs. Thank you.

VIRTUAL BASKET RAFFLE — Creativity in Action can best describe the Virtual Basket Raffle recently conducted by Women of Sacred Heart in Pinehurst. Eighteen baskets were donated by members and raffled virtually via the Sacred Heart website under the leadership of Mary Kay Socha (left), Mary Schneider, Denise Donnelly and Helen Walsh. Proceeds from the raffle will be used for projects to assist the community throughout the year.
We are currently not staffing the Welcome Desk. Several of the loyal volunteer disciples have said they do not feel comfortable and very few parishioners are stopping at the desk. We will resume full coverage as soon as possible. There is a notebook on the desk. Please feel free to write any questions and/or issues in the book. We review the book daily and will call or email you. You are also welcome to call the Stewardship office at 295-6550, ext. 130 at any time. We hope you understand and look forward to having someone at the desk at the earliest possible time. A reminder: all items and printed materials must have Father Forbes’ permission prior to placing items on the desk for distribution. Jeanne Ryan is happy to assist you with these requests.
Father Forbes has told us about the Governor’s latest order. Meetings of more than 10 persons are not permitted. This will apply to Sacred Heart Ministries, including Women of Sacred Heart, Knights of Columbus, and Faith and Fellowship. At this time, we will continue with Children’s Faith formation and Edge and Pre-School. Father is sorry about this situation as he values the wonderful, good works you all do. He continues to require a mask for all persons working and entering the Education Building. Thank you so much for your careful attention to this request.
Each year we have helped to educate Ugandan students so they might grow in education and their ability to deal with improving their lives and their country. Please click on the map to learn more.
Sacred Heart’s Chancel Choir was among eight Moore County choirs selected to compete for the title “Best Local Choir” during The Pilot’s annual Best of the Pines celebration.
Dear Parents, Good morning. We have now been in session for a month. I am wondering if you have issues, concerns etc. that you would like to share with me. I am always open to suggestions and feedback.
Fr. Forbes is concerned that we are ending Faith Formation classes at 10:00 A.M., when Mass begins at 10:00 A.M. We have already reduced our class time by 15 minutes per week due to COVID Mass schedule. I do not want to further reduce class time, therefore class will start promptly at 8:50 A.M. and dismiss at 9:50 A.M. This will give parents time to get to Mass. I realize that you have already made many changes in this trying time but let’s try to accomplish this! I am grateful to you for the effort you make to bring your children to the Faith. This does not affect our Wednesday class schedule.
1. Two members to serve on Stewardship Council - (meets monthly for two hours) 2. Welcome Desk 15 minutes before a Mass and 10 minutes after a Mass, advance schedule your choice of dates and Masses. Contact Carolyn Gale (215-0250)
For several years, WSH members have generously given gift donations to long-term care facility residents for Christmas. We would like to continue this tradition to let residents know that we are thinking of them during this difficult time and to bring some good cheer to them.
