To maintain a clean and efficient kitchen for all parishioners using Founders Hall, a Kitchen Committee has been created. The committee has reorganized the kitchen and closets. Items used often by Parishioners are now available in the kitchen closet. The Parish will purchase kitchen paper supplies (paper plates, plastic/foam cups, plastic utensils, coffee, and condiments, paper towels, table and beverage napkins, ice tea and lemonade mixes, disposable placemats, aluminum foil, saran wrap, sterno for the heating/warming elements, dish soap, food gloves) in bulk to save on frequent reimbursement requests. The Committee recommends that ministries, who frequently use the kitchen, keep a large tote to separate items specific to their needs. (There are large totes/tubs available in the kitchen closet). If a ministry wishes to request paper supplies, 24 hours advance notice is required. These supplies will be placed in the kitchen.
This supply closet will not be open to all users, kitchen committee members and staff will have access. All issues regarding supplies and concerns should be addressed to one of the kitchen committee members. It is their intention to assist all users with supplies and concerns. We hope these procedures will keep the kitchen available and clean for everyone's use and save money. Thank you.
Ministries that prefer to use special kitchen supplies other than the above list will not be reimbursed by the Parish.
A member of the kitchen committee is the liaison to the Parish ministries who most frequently use the kitchen per the list below:
Women of Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus Coffee and Donuts Social
Faith and Fellowship Elphie Sale

Guidelines for using the kitchen
We have deep cleaned the kitchen, it is spotless. WE MUST KEEP IT THIS WAY. We are in the process of establishing new kitchen use guidelines, to include following the Health Department requirement for using additional rinse additive when washing dishes. The dishwasher has been repaired. The current method of washing dishes will improve if we use standard hygiene procedures. Please do not dry dishes with the cloth towels, use paper towels to avoid spreading germs. We will have a supply of paper towels above the sink as well a rinse additive and dish washer soap. Please use gloves when preparing food for distribution. A supply of these will also be available. One issue which has been a concern: when you use Church dishes, after sanitation, dry and return to the closet. DO NOT PUT IN DRAIN BOARD FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO PUT AWAY. We have put a clothing rack in the kitchen for coats and purses. The kitchen is not a place to these items. All items left behind will be on the clothing rack.
The kitchen has been deep cleaned. IT IS NO LONGER PERMITTED TO USE THE KITCHEN AS A PLACE TO PUT YOUR KEYS, COATS, PURSES. There is a coat hanger available in Founders Hall. If you plan on using the kitchen please talk with Christine Mimms. She will help you. The same request is made to clean all services of kitchen after each use, tables, light switches, dry all dishes with paper towels and put away all items used.
