The Women of Sacred Heart presented Louise Kennedy, pictured above, at left, with President Nancy Heilman, with the Volunteer Award, given annually to recognize members for their volunteer service to the church and community. Kennedy is active in leadership roles within Women of Sacred Heart, where she is responsible for the raffle that is part of the annual White Elephant Sale, and chair of their hospitality committee. She is also responsible for the Family Promise program, sponsored by Sacred Heart Catholic Church in cooperation with Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Southern Pines.  Kennedy is a longtime volunteer with Habitat for Humanity Restore, Given Memorial Library and, more recently, she became a volunteer with the new FirstHealth Cancer Center. Congratulations, Louise.
