6-7-8 Grade Day Retreat Details

We will kick off at 10 AM in Founder's Hall at Sacred Heart, so please plan to arrive a little before 10 so we can start right on time! Lunch and snacks will be provided, and kids will be participating in active games, so we recommend comfortable clothes and a water bottle. We also suggest they bring a bible, journal and pencil/pen. There is no charge for the retreat, and they will participate in the 4:30 Saturday Mass as a group, so we suggest kids bring a change of clothes so they are properly dressed for that portion of the day. They will be dismissed following Mass, so please plan to pick them up at 5:30 pm from the church Sanctuary. 

The mission will be run by Vagabond Missions out of Greenville, NC. A website for Vagabond Missions is found: https://www.vagabondmissions.com/ and their team (Mary, Micha, Tim, Steph and Eliza) will be coming to lead our youth in large group talks and activities and small group discussions. The theme is "GIVE TO GOD" and they will be leading our youth through how to live the faith actively through a life of prayer, serving God and others through who you are and the physical gifts you can offer to Him and others. The missionaries will be sharing their testimony of living life as missionaries and how the teens they work within impoverished situations give their hearts to God. They will specifically talk about the Great Commission during Lent, how serving God looks as a teenager, and finding your gifts and using them to serve God. They will partake in adoration, praise and worship music as well.
