Easter Food Gift Basket for Needy/Disabled Military Families
Women love to Shop! Here is an Opportunity to Serve and Have Fun with a Friend! Create an Easter Food Gift Basket. Women of Sacred Heart will supply a food gift card to incur the cost of an Easter Ham or other main course meat. Baskets will be donated to Needy/Disabled Military Families. Suggested Items for You to Purchase for the food basket:
2 cans of cut green beans,
2 cans of cream of mushroom soup,
1 small package French Fried Onions,
1 large can of baked beans,
1 box macaroni/cheese,
2 envelopes instant mashed white potatoes,
1 large can of sweet potatoes,
1 box boil-in-bag rice,
1 box cornbread mix,
1 cake mix,
1 frosting mix,
2 cans tropical fruit cut up fruit,
1 package containing
8 individual fruit juice,
1 package of cocoa containing 8 individual envelopes,
1 small package of Hershey miniature candies,
1 small package Hershey kisses,
1 package of 4 toothbrushes and
1 tube toothpaste.
Decorate the basket with colorful paper napkins, table cloth or placemats. Placing the candy in plastic Easter eggs also adds to a festive look. Your total Out of Pocket Cost will be about $40.00. We encourage you to work with two to three people, shop together, assemble the items in a basket, and share the cost. Please let Joan Ward know if you will be providing a basket 295-6544. Completed baskets are due by March 11. You can bring your basket to Founders Hall on Thursday, March 11, drop it off at any time during that week before March 11 at Jeanne Ryan’s Office, or deliver it to Joan Ward’s home before March 11 (Please call her first: 295-6544). Our goal is to have 10 Baskets donated! Reminder, there will be no Women of Sacred Heart Meeting on March 11 due to the virus.
