Father John Forbes welcomes a Divine Mercy Cenacle Prayer Group which will begin in October with an information session in Founders Hall on October 13th from 11 am -12 pm. The group facilitator, Lorraine Carpenter welcomes all interested in learning about the Divine Mercy Cenacle Group. A cenacle is a small Christian community of no more than 8 persons per group who attend Faith Formation sessions based on conversations between Jesus and Sr. Faustina, a religious sister of a Polish order of Catholic sisters. The introductory phase is a 13-week session covering different topics connect to Divine Mercy. The group meets for 90 minutes each week beginning with a DVD from the National Shrine of Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Maine, followed by a discussion on the topic for the week. After the discussion, the group members are invited to offer prayer intentions and pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
