Having celebrated our centennial as a parish and the twenty-fifth anniversary of our current church, Sacred Heart Parish continues to grow and expand our ministries. Since our education building was completed in 1999, our parish and faith formation programs have doubled in size. To meet the ever-increasing physical needs to support our ministries, as well as youth and adult religious education, we are developing plans to expand our campus, assist our San Juan Diego Mission, and provide support for the permanent school building at St. John Paul II school. For our immediate needs, we would like to consider building a new education building on the Sacred Heart Parish grounds which would provide a secure space for the preschool programs and adequate space for our faith formation programs. We would reconfigure the current education building for administrative and meeting space. We would assist San Juan Diego Mission with building classrooms. I will be addressing this need at all Masses this weekend. I invite you to attend a town hall meeting at 7:00 this Wednesday evening, June 19, where I will review the details of these plans, the costs and how much we seek to raise to make this vision come to fruition. I will also be happy to answer any questions or address any concerns. Your feedback is especially important so I would greatly appreciate your attendance if possible. God bless you, Fr. John Forbes |
